Back in 2011, Parliament wanted to increased Air Passenger Duty (APD).
easyJet petitioned on behalf of the airline industry (and their customers) for a much fairer tax on individual planes, as opposed to each traveller. But rather than any old petition, we planned on making one that Whitehall couldn't ignore.
A flying one. With the names of every person who signed it stencilled on the side.
Almost 15,000 people signed the petition,
but sadly the idea and the plane never made it off the ground. There's always next time.
(Oh come on, we all knew a flying pun was coming)
